Pink Bird Live is proud to present the incredible Heather McClelland and TaZ Modi, 10th August at St. James’ Church, Islington, N1 8PF.
Pink Bird Live are very proud to present a double bill from Heather McClelland and Submotion Orchestra’s Taz Modi.
Heather’s artistic influences of Bjork and Agnes Obel can clearly be heard in her all encompassing, emotive music. Her live set up features cellos, guitar and piano, brought together by her ‘uniquely pure-toned and fragile voice’. The cavernous ceilings of St James’ providing a perfect backdrop for her atmospheric sound. As says her bio: she has been writing and refining her songs for her debut release, which she has completed in collaboration with producers Steve Lovell (Julian Cope, Blur) and Taz Modi (Submotion Orchestra, Matthew Halsall). Listen here.
Virtuoso pianist Taz will be performing songs from his first solo project ‘Reclaimed Goods’. We can’t wait to sit back and hear him work his magic on St James’ beautiful grand piano; no doubt his Jazz and ambient influenced work with Submotion coming to the fore. A preview of his work can be found here.
